Gobrecht Memorial Fund has Raised
over $54,000
12-28-04 More than
anything, Kevin Gobrecht wanted to be an Outlaw. From the time
he started racing as an 8-year-old, Gobrecht dreamt of racing a
sprint car with the World of Outlaws.
After years of success as a member of the Pennsylvania Posse and
in a few short stints with several Outlaws teams, Gobrecht
landed a full-time ride in 1999 driving for former champion Dave
Blaney. Once he was settled, Gobrecht earned a victory at Eldora
and had a solid showing at Knoxville. It was clear he had the
skill and ability to become a star on the circuit.
But on a late September night at I-80 Speedway in Nebraska,
Gobrecht died from injuries sustained in a crash. It left the
sprint car world stunned.
In the days that followed, the Outlaws announced its honor to
the top first-year driver would become the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie
of the Year Award. In addition, his family created the Kevin
Gobrecht Memorial Fund.
The award in 2004 went to Kraig Kinser, but it is the fund that
continues to best pay tribute to Gobrecht, who in addition to
racing earned a degree in business and finance from Millersville
University. To date, the organization has raised and distributed
more than $54,000. And in a display of how popular Gobrecht was,
his memorial merchandise has been requested worldwide.
“The rookie of the year award title keeps Kevin associated with
the Outlaws, and that was one of his dreams,” said Donna
Gobrecht, Kevin’s mother. “All he ever talked about was being a
professional driver with the World of Outlaws. It means a lot
that the Outlaws were willing to carry his name.”
The organization’s biggest fundraiser is an annual golf
tournament near the end of September. In 2004, 140 golfers
helped to generate a record-high $19,000, even after torrential
rains forced the event to be relocated in a matter of hours.
The group uses those funds to award two scholarships and assist
local and national charities.
“One scholarship is through the high school that goes to a
senior going into higher education,” Donna Gobrecht said. “The
second one is through the racetracks and is available to anyone.
The only stipulation I put on that scholarship is that the
winner attend Kevin’s memorial race at Lincoln Speedway for the
presentation. This year, because of the proceeds from the golf
tournament, we’ve actually been able to double the amount of the
scholarship so we’re going to give two $2,000 scholarships this
year.”
The rest of the money is donated to aid groups, such as Feed a
Friend, or ones that assist injured drivers in the racing
community.
“The purpose is to keep Kevin’s name alive,” Donna Gobrecht
said. “We’ve never taken one cent for administration costs or
anything. It’s all going back into the racing community, and
that’s the purpose.”

Dirt
Motorsports Buys MARS DLM Series
NORMAN, OK, December 17, 2004 / Business Wire / Boundless Motor
Sports Racing, Inc., (OTCBB: BMSR) (Boundless) d/b/a DIRT
MotorSportsTM,
announced that it has purchased Mid-America Racing Series,
(MARS), a regional late model sanctioning body based in
Arkansas. Established in 2000, more than 350 drivers have
competed at twenty-four tracks in seven states during the
series’ history.
The series was originally created by Batesville Speedway owner
and promoter Mooney Starr in order to offer local late model
drivers a regional late model series with competitive purses.
In 2004, with title sponsorship from the nationally recognized
O’Reilly Auto Parts, the series schedule included 33 race nights
and paid out $125,000 in points funds.
“The Mid-America Racing Series has a strong following throughout
the Southern and Midwestern parts of the country,” said Paul A.
Kruger, Chairman and CEO. “The acquisition follows the
objectives of our business plan in order to create a more
unified late model national touring series that benefits the
team owners, drivers, sponsors and promoters.”
Along with the recent acquisition of UMP and the Stacker 2®
Xtreme DirtCar Series, the MARS
acquisition strengthens the Company’s position as the largest
and most recognized sanctioning body for sprint, late model and
modified dirt track racing in the
United States. In 2004, an estimated more than 3.5 million fans
attended World of Outlaws®
and DIRT Series sanctioned events to watch the best drivers in
the industry perform. Management expects to be able to build
upon the success of its 2004 season and anticipates significant
attendance growth for 2005.
“It is very important to have strong regional support for our
World of Outlaws Stacker 2 Late Model national tour and for MARS
to assist us in achieving our goals,” said Bobby Hartslief,
Boundless’ COO.

Dirt Motorsports Buys UMP Late
Model Series
NORMAN, OK,
December 7, 2004 / Business Wire / Boundless Motor Sports
Racing, Inc., (OTCBB: BMSR) (Boundless) d/b/a DIRT MotorSportsTM,
announced that it has purchased United Midwestern Promoters
Motorsports, LLC, (UMP), a late model and modified sanctioning
body which includes the Stacker 2® Xtreme DirtCar Series. The
title sponsor for the Xtreme DirtCar Series is Stacker 2, a
nationally marketed herbal supplement sold at most convenience,
health and drug stores.
For the past
twenty years UMP has been a major player within the late model
and modified circuits. With more than 3,000 registered open
wheel modified drivers, the Xtreme DirtCar Series’ sponsors
include Stacker 2, The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company®, Gemini
Auto Stores® and Lucas Oil®. The Xtreme DirtCar Series also has
a television contract with SPEED Channel.
The UMP
acquisition strengthens the Company’s position as the largest
and most recognized sanctioning body for sprint, late model and
modified dirt track racing in the United States. In 2004, an
estimated more than 3.5 million fans attended World of Outlaws
and DIRT Series sanctioned events to watch the best drivers in
the industry perform. Management expects to be able to build
upon the success of its 2004 season and anticipates significant
attendance growth for 2005.
“As we’ve moved
through the year we’ve been able to make strategic acquisitions
that are consistent with the goals we established in our
business plan,” said Paul A. Kruger, Boundless’ Chairman and
CEO. “The UMP acquisition reflects our commitment to building a
sanctioning organization which will take the sport of dirt track
racing to a new level both in the United States and abroad.”
“The acquisition
of UMP will help us to extend our base of DIRT’s weekly
sanctioned tracks as we bring on board a large contingent of
modified teams,” said Bobby Hartslief, Boundless’ COO. “However,
most importantly, the acquisition unifies the late model series
and brings with it marketing opportunities to better serve our
fan base.”

Quotes
Donny Schatz
“I hope
we’ve gotten things turned around, but I’ve thought so before
and it can all get away. This Parker Stores team kept digging
and digging all year long. My guys and everyone who gives us
what we need to keep going give us 110%, and you can’t ask for
anything more than that, and that’s what it takes to have a
good team. (Shane Stewart and Daryn Pittman) had softer tires
on than us, and I think it showed at the beginning. I guess
I’m the type of driver who uses the tire a little more than
others, so I need a little harder compound, but I knew as soon
as the heat built up we’d be able to drive back to the front.
I had a misfire there at one point—it would go away for a
little bit, then come back. I think it was blowing some water
out and onto the spark plug wires, but that may have even
helped us here as slick as the track got tonight. I knew it
was water because I could feel it on my arm. We’re just lucky
to get here (to victory lane.) We’ll take the way we finished
this year and go back home and get ready for 2005, and
hopefully we can come back and do this every night. I just
want to thank the World of Outlaws for putting on these races,
and bringing us to premiere facilities like Las Vegas Motor
Speedway. We do out best to put on good races, and sometimes
it doesn’t work out that way, but there’s always a victor, and
tonight that’s us. I’m really looking forward to going to
Australia—I’ve been going over there for so long now it just
seems like old hat, but our confidence is up, and we have a
good race team. Our chassis and engine programs with Jack
Elam and Ronnie Shaver are the best in the country, and
anytime you can get a lethal combination like that, it’s fun
to go racing. I haven’t been to the (gaming) tables here this
week, but maybe we’ll go tonight.”
Danny
Lasoski kicked off the last event of the World of Outlaws 2004
season in dominating fashion, controlling all 25 laps of the
preliminary feature Friday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

By WoO Sprint PR Las Vegas, NV (November 5, 2004)
Danny Lasoski kicked off the last event of the World of
Outlaws 2004 season in dominating fashion, controlling all 25
laps of the preliminary feature Friday night at Las Vegas
Motor Speedway.
Lasoski
powered the MAD Magazine-schemed #20 JD Byrider Eagle past the
#7 VMAC Maxim of Craig Dollansky on the opening lap. Shane
Stewart and Steve Kinser’s #11 Quaker State Maxim slipped past
Dollansky shortly after. The caution flew on lap two when Rob
Chaney spun in turn four and collected Kevin Huntley and the
#11 Selma Shell Maxim of Paul McMahan. All except Huntley were
able to restart. On the next lap Brooke Tatnell spun on the
front stretch and into the infield, damaging his car and
ending his night. On the restart, Kinser hit the infield tire
marker while running third. He tried to repair the damage
undercaution, but wouldn’t return in time for the green flag.
A caution flag for Terry McCarl’s lap 5 stoppage with a flat
tire allowed Kinser to return, however he was two laps down.
By the
midway point of the race, Lasoski held a solid lead over
Stewart. A battle in the top five raged. Donny Schatz’s #15
Parker Store J&J took third place from Dollansky on lap 16.
Dollansky’s race would come to an end the following lap when
he stopped in turn four with engine troubles. Racing resumed
and Jason Meyers and his #14 Elite Landscaping Maxim battled
with the #21 Hop & Sack J&J of Daryn Pittman for fourth place.
Pittman took the spot with five laps remaining.
Lasoski won
by half a straightaway over Stewart. “The cushion in turns 3&4
was a long way up there and you really had to tiptoe it
through there and time the lapped traffic so you’d catch them
at the right spot,” Lasoski said. “But we love coming out here
to Las Vegas to race. The track crew does a great job, and
hopefully tomorrow they’ll give us a little more on the bottom
for two grooves. It’ll definitely be wide open here tomorrow
night.”

sending the 35 car hard into the turn 3 wall and upside down.
Blaney was uninjured, but was not able to restart.
Jim Nier and
Jayme Barnes got together at the start of the third heat race,

A-main, allowing first alternate Brian Paulus to start the
event.
Quotes
Danny
Lasoski
“I know I
have the best crew chief in the world with Jimmy Carr—he and
Todd Splain and Mikey (Kuemper) have been working hard, and
driving the JD Byrider Home Depot Mopar car has been good to
me all year. We kind of struggled there for a while and let
the King (Steve Kinser) get away from us, but it looks like
we’ve got the momentum back here at the end of the year, and
we’re excited about having Bass Pro Shops coming on board and
we’re looking for bigger and better things out here next
year. (The cushion in turns 3&4) was a long way up there, and
you really had to tiptoe it through there and time the lapped
traffic so you’d catch them at the right spot, but we love
coming out here to Las Vegas to race. The track crew does a
great job, and hopefully tomorrow they’ll give us a little
more on the bottom for two grooves. It’ll definitely be wide
open here tomorrow night. This is the second week we’ve had
(the Mad Magazine paint scheme), and last week was a little
tough with the flying back and forth for the IROC race, but
hopefully we can get another win for them tomorrow night.”

Quotes Terry
McCarl
“I want to thank
God for a safe race. I thought Erin (Crocker) was going to pull
it off again—she did a great job again tonight, and I was kind
of hoping she’d win when I was running toward the back, but as I
got closer and closer to the front I started to think that I
might have a shot at it. I’ve run a lot of races on a lot of
different type tracks, and I knew I had to try to run the bottom
and save my tires as much as I could. Danny (Lasoski) kind of
showed me something up higher there toward the end of the race,
but again, you had to be really careful. I wish my wife and
family could be here with me for this one, but I know they’re
back home listening. These internet broadcasts are great. I have
to thank all of my sponsors—Big Game Tree Stands, Country
Builders: I wish the Offil family could have been here tonight.
They were here last night when we sucked, but they’ve been with
me for a long time. Bosma Poultry, Fast & Mueller, Fleet Buying
Group. I don’t have a big corporate sponsor—we’re trying to put
something together to run the full (World of Outlaws) season
next year. Wesmar Engines—seems like when we run an engine
that’s supposed to go back for a re-build, we win an Outlaw
race. I have to thank Neil (Cowman) and the guys at Hoosier for
building the best race tires in the world. Eagle Chassis, Weld
Racing and Brodix, and everyone for coming out here tonight.”

Quotes
Erin Crocker
“My heart’s
beating pretty fast and I’m out of breath. This has been a long
year, and we’ve been through some tough times, but Mike Woodring
and my crew stuck with me. This is a rookie team with a rookie
driver, and after everything we’ve been though, this win means
the world to me! I don’t know where (the winning move) it came
from! I have so many people to thank for this! Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute is my university, and they’ve been my
sponsor for three years, and without them this wouldn’t be
possible. We have so many great associate sponsors—Car Mate
Trailers, and just so many people who have helped make it
possible. I’ll definitely be back to Tulare!”

Brazilian Formula 3 Star to Make
WoO Debut at Vegas
(October 28, 2004)
Former Formula 3 star, Brazilian Ricardo “Matchbox” Maurício
will make his World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series debut at the
Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, NV during the Series’
final season event on November 5th and 6th, 2004. Maurício will
drive a car owned by sprint car racer Doug Lippincott of Sparks,
NV. Veteran World of Outlaws crew chief Davey Whitworth will
help the road-racing star make the transition from pavement to
dirt, with ButlerBuilt Motorsports Equipment also lending
support to the team.
Maurício hails from Brazil but hopes to race full-time in the
United States. His decision to venture to the United States to
join the World of Outlaws Sprint Series came after a
conversation with former office teammates of retired Formula One
star Nelson Piquet. The former teammates happened to include
Bobby Hartslief, Boundless Motor Sports Racing, COO; Brazilian
promoter Carlos Lua Mauro and Ted Quackenbush of TQ & Associates
who represents IRL driver Vitor Meira and Japanese Formula 3
driver J.P. Oliveira.
“I wanted to focus my career in the U.S. and the best available
entrance gate for someone that has Stock Car racing in mind, I
believe, is sprint car racing,” said Maurício. “I am excited to
try dirt oval racing and at the same time ready to learn the
tricks of the trade with these fast and experienced drivers. I
hope to squeeze in, use some of my road course past and find a
place here for many, many years.”
The nickname “Matchbox” originates from his diminutive stature,
Maurício stands only 5’3”, and his reputation for having a “hot
foot.” The hard-charging style has worked well for the 25-year
old native of São Paulo, Brazil. In 2003, he won the Spanish
Formula 3 Championship, claiming six wins and four pole
positions in his Racing Engineering Toyota-Dallara. Maurício
also won the Brazilian Formula Ford Championship in 1996.
Maurício is currently racing with the Brazilian V8 Stock Car
Series and serves as an Instructor at the Roberto Marazii
Driving School at the legendary Interlagos Circuit in São Paulo
as well as the Porsche Advanced Driving School, in São Paulo.

WoO Announces 2005 Rules Package
(October 26,
2004)
The World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series released the 2005
edition of the WoO technical rules today. The rules can now be
downloaded from a link (“2005 Sprint Rules”) located at the
bottom of the official WoO Sprint Series web site home page at
www.theworldofoutlaws.com.
“We
worked with the World of Outlaws teams and with the tracks that
run the World of Outlaws Sprint Series,” said Martin Willis, VP
of Technical Operations. “Our goal is a unified set of rules
allowing any team to pull in and be ready to race.”
Over the 2004 season, the WoO held meetings with promoters,
drivers and race team owners in an effort to release the rules
to the racing community before the end of the WoO 2004 season.
“This is the earliest the rules have ever been published,” said
Willis. “We wanted to help the race teams with their plans for
2005.”
Releasing the new rules is just one aspect of the sanctioning
organization’s efforts for improvements in 2005. “We are
working on minor changes to the race and format procedures to
create a better show,” said Craig Cormack, VP of Race
Operations. “A new membership structure will be in place to
encourage more teams to be a part of the World of Outlaws
organization. There are still some details to hammer out, but
we will have the entire system in place by January 1, 2005.”

Boundless to Become "DIRT
Motorsports"
NORMAN, OK, -- Boundless Motor
Sports Racing Inc., (OTCBB: BMSR) (Boundless) Chairman and CEO
Paul A. Kruger announced that the Board of Directors has
unanimously approved changing the Company’s name from “Boundless
Motor Sports Racing, Inc.”, to “DIRT Motorsports, Inc.” During
the meeting the Board also approved the reincorporation of the
company to Delaware. The Company’s name change and
reincorporation to Delaware will require shareholder approval in
order to be effective.
“I’m very confident about the direction that we are taking with
the Company,” said Kruger. “DIRT Motorsports is a recognized
leader in the industry with an established reputation and loyal
fan base built in part by the wide variety of broadcast programs
produced by our in-house studios including ‘This Week on DIRT’,
‘Rush Hour on DIRT’, DIRTvision’s online race broadcasts and our
new online talk-show ‘DIRT Doggs LIVE’. Changing the name to
DIRT Motorsports more accurately reflects our position as the
dominant name in dirt track racing.”
“The Company will continue to leverage and build upon its
existing brands including the World of Outlaws Sprint Series,
the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, and the DIRT Big Block
Modified Series,” said Bobby Hartslief, Boundless Chief
Operating Officer. “While the World of Outlaws Sprint Series and
World of Outlaws Late Model Series are still the foundation of
the Company, we believe the name change to DIRT Motorsports will
foster an environment that will enable us to expand the reach
and popularity of all our dirt track racing series throughout
the United States.”
Once completed, www.dirtmotorsports.com will be the new official
corporate
web site address .

to thank my car owner Tony Stewart for giving me everything I
need to run this deal, JD Byrider, Home Depot, and Mopar have
been great for us, and next year we have the big mouth bass-Bass
Pro Shops coming on board. Kistler Engines, Eagle Chassis, and
Hoosier Tires do the job for us, and I really have to thank my
guys. I've got the best crew chief in the business with Jimmy
Carr, and Todd Splain and Mike Kuemper. We've been struggling
here the last month, but these guys never gave up on me, and I'm
really proud of that."

Quotes Tim Kaeding
"This is a great night for the Beefpackers team. We were just
kind of out cruising and waiting for things to happen. Donny
(Schatz) got held up in some traffic, and I just pulled it down
to the bottom and hoped it would stick. I think the right rear
tire started to come in later in the race. I could hear someone
coming behind me that last lap, but I didn't know who it was. I
just have to thank Dennis and Theresa Roth for giving me a great
ride. Next year is going to be pretty exciting!"

Quotes Steve Kinser
"We've always run good here-I don't really know why. We've run
good ever since we started racing here in the late `70s. I've
always enjoyed running here, but I don't know. . .we need to get
these ski jumps (banking for the quarter-mile inner oval) off
the frontstretch. You have to try to time the lapped cars so
that you catch them coming out ofthe corners, then you can make
a move on them. Starting on the outside was the place to be
here. With the gear that we have to run you get a little bogged
down on the inside, plus it was a little slick down there
tonight, so it worked out well that we got the outside front
row. We just have to keep running well, and not get injured or
anything like that. Scott Gerkin, and the guys on both of these
teams do a great job. We started out the year to win another
championship, so we just have to keep it going."

Quotes Tim Kaeding
"Man, this is cool! My little brother (Bud) runs the non-wing
cars here, and he told me it would get right up by the fence, so
we just got up and let it run. I have to thank HR Cattle, Dennis
and Theresa Roth-they've given me a great opportunity, and we're
getting ready to run full time with these guys. This might make
up for some of the tough luck we've had the last couple of
weeks. Donny (Schatz) and Steve (Kinser) were fast all night
long, and we were just kind of back there cruising around. I saw
them both go to the bottom, and I thought `I think there's
enough room up there to squeeze by them', so I just made the
move and figured we'd either crash or have the lead. I saw Sammy
(Swindell) there on the last lap, and I just tried to keep a
lapped car in between us. It probably would have gotten ugly
coming out of (turn) four-we both probably would have crashed.
I'm just happy to get this win. . .it's time for a beer, now!"
