Daggett Shocks All-Stars at
Hartford
Haulmark All Star Sprint Results -
Hartford Speedway Park - Sat. 7/31/04 By Scott Hall
HARTFORD, MI - Sprints on Dirt points leader Dustin
Daggett used his hometrack advantage Saturday night to defeat
the All Stars at Hartford Speedway Park. His first career All
Star win came in convincing fashion over All Star points leader
Chad Kemenah. Daggett's No. 85 Maxim-Dowker was sponsored by
Tri-City Auto Body, BOC Gases, General Signs and R&M Building
Systems.
"I don't know what to say.this is awesome. It's my first 410
feature win and I have to thank all the sponsors who help me
out. And the track was great tonight," Daggett proclaimed,
praising Fred Knight's smooth and tacky track surface. "Coming
here tonight I didn't plan on winning but I knew I had a top ten
car, if not a top five," he concluded as the crowd roared with
approval.
Dean Jacobs and Cameron Dodson led the 24 car field to the
green because Jeremy Campbell was originally slated to start on
the pole, but he did not make the call with ignition troubles.
Jacobs jumped out into the initial lead, followed by third
starter Daggett. As Jacobs approached the lapped machine of Mike
Jonas, Jonas got sideways, causing Jacobs to take evasive
action, allowing Daggett to squirt into the lead on lap five.
Daggett now
lead Jacobs, Kelly Kinser and Kemenah. A pair of cautions, the
first for a Bill Rose sick engine and the second for a seventh
place Danny Smith spin, left Daggett still on top for each
restart.
Daggett pushed out to a half straightaway lead again with
Jacobs applying heavy pressure following each restart. At the
halfway mark Jacobs drove hard under Daggett and got sideways,
causing Kelly Kinser to get sideways also, allowing Kemenah to
duck under both for second. Daggett still had a good advantage,
with Kemenah second ahead of Dodson, Kinser and Brock Mayes.
Heavy traffic allowed Kemenah to reel in the leader with Dodson
right on his tail. Dodson moved past Kemenah for second, keeping
that spot for 10 laps until Kemenah got the spot back.
Mayes spun out of sixth spot on lap 28. With six cautions
already on the books, a red flag was thrown for a fuel stop.
Daggett got another strong restart to lead the last two laps,
with Kemenah running second at the finish. Dodson held on for
third, with Kinser fourth and 14th starting Greg Wilson fifth.
Smith came back from his early spin for sixth, ahead of Randy
Hannagan, 12th starter Jon Agan, Phil Gressman and Mayes.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Bill Rose, the B&B Products
heat went to Phil Gressman, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was
won by Tim Hunter and Jeremy Campbell won the Haulmark Dash.
Kemenah was the Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier.

Danny Smith Wins at Spoon River
7-30-04
CANTON, IL – It was win number three on the Haulmark All Star
sprint season for Danny Smith Friday night at Spoon River
Speedway. It was the first visit by the series to the 3/8 mile
oval and a huge crowd was on hand to see Smith’s 27th
career All Star win in the Pence GMC-Olds Doug Williams
Trucking Maxim. Smith passed Jeremy Campbell to lead the final
six laps for the win.
Dean Jacobs and Campbell led the
field to the green flag for the 30 lap contest with Jacobs using
the low groove to grab the top spot from Campbell in turn three
to lead the first lap. Campbell went high the next lap to grab
the lead back from Jacobs. Once in front, Campbell, in the
G-Force Racing, Penske Racing Shocks, Benic Enterprises, K&N
Filters Maxim-Gaerte began pulling away from Jacobs. Fourth
starting Smith took second with four laps in the books, and
Smith began catching the leader once he was in lapped traffic.
Jacobs spun the Webb No. 51 on lap
11, bringing out the caution. This dropped Jacobs from third and
he restarted at the back of the pack.
Kemenah moved into third for the
restart, followed by Kerry Madsen and Randy Hannagan. Campbell
held a nice lead over Smith and Kemenah, but Campbell jumped the
cushion in turn two just past the halfway mark of the event.
This miscue allowed Smith to pull right up to the back push bar
of Campbell, and the race for the lead was on. Heavy lapped
traffic came into play as Smith looked for a way around
Campbell, but yet had to repel the advances of Kemenah.
With 23 laps in the books, Smith
finally moved off the bottom groove to get through lapped
traffic. Campbell went low with a lapped car in the middle
groove and Smith drove around the top of the speedway to lead
lap 24. Two laps later, Terry McCarl, running eighth, spun to
bring out another caution. McCarl was forced to exit the event.
The lineup was now Smith, Campbell, Kemenah, Hannagan and
Madsen. Kemenah applied heavy pressure to Campbell following the
restart as Madsen and Hannagan also raced side by side.
At the finish it was Smith over
Kemenah, who got past Campbell for second at the end. Hannagan
held on for fourth, just ahead of an amazing drive by Jerrod
Hull. Hull started 20th and earned the Fisher Performance Hard
Charger award for his methodical race into fifth. Madsen was
sixth ahead of Wayne Johnson, Scott Young’s brand
new car, Cameron Dodson (who started 16th) and veteran
Jim Moughan.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Phil
Gressman, the B&B Products heat went to Jerrod Hull, the Engler
Machine and Tool heat was won by Paul May and the TP Wings heat
fell to Greg Wilson. Terry McCarl won the University of
Northwestern Ohio B Main and Campbell captured the Haulmark
Dash. Wayne Johnson was the Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier
with a new track record of 11.383 seconds, topping a 43
car field. Bill Rose flipped in heat race number two and
he emerged uninjured but was through for the evening.

McCarl and Madsen Win at
Knoxville
Haulmark All Star Sprint Results -
Knoxville Raceway - Fri. 7/23/04 By Bob Wilson
KNOXVILLE, IA - Terry McCarl and Kerry Madsen won the twin
20's Friday night at Knoxville Raceway in the Haulmark All Star
sprint-NCRA-IRA Iowa Telecom 4th annual Summer Classic. The
field was split into two groups, with half trying to qualify for
each 20 lap feature. The wins paid each driver $3,000.
For McCarl, it was his fifth feature event win at this
historic oval this season while Madsen recorded his first of the
season here.
Shane Stewart grabbed the lead in the first feature event
from his pole position start. Through two yellow flag periods
Stewart established leads of up to 20-car lengths and seemed to
have the field covered for the distance.
Meanwhile, in back of him a tremendous battle broke out for
the next three spots as Tim St. Arnold , Billy Alley and McCarl
contested second through fourth. No positions changed, until
Stewart and the threesome behind him entered lap traffic just
after the half-way point. Right away McCarl got by Alley and
then one lap later he disposed of St. Arnold. Just after these
passes the third caution of the race slowed the field to a
single file alignment.
At this point it should be noted that Dean Jacobs had zoomed
to 5th after starting 18th. Likewise, Chad Kemenah, who started
19th was running 8th.
On the restart, Stewart led one more lap until McCarl got by
him on the 16th circuit with a slide job in turns one and two.
Once in front, McCarl parked his car on the cushion and pulled
away from the field to record his 41st career win here in his
self-owned Eagle-Wesmar.
Stewart took second and $2,000 and Alley was third for
$1,500. Jacobs claimed fourth and Kemenah took fifth. Rounding
out the top ten finishers were St. Arnold, Colin Northway, Kim
Mock, Jesse Giannetto and Jesse Hockett who came from the rear
after blowing a tire and bringing out the yellow on lap two.
In the second feature which went non-stop, Matt Moro grabbed
the initial lead as he swept out of turn four on the first lap.
Moro looked very fast and began to pull away from the 24-car
field when all of a sudden when he came down the frontstretch he
slowed markedly, taking the flag, but also pulling to the
infield on the exit road with mechanical problems.
With Moro gone, second runner Clint Garner enjoyed the top
spot for one lap until Madsen pulled along side and passed him
on the back chute on the following lap. From that point, the
race belonged to Madsen as he began to stretch his margin out to
25-car lengths.
Just after the half-way point, Madsen began to hit the
backmarkers but on this night he would take no prisoners as he
scorched through the slower cars with Garner still running
second and Wayne Johnson third.
Johnson grabbed the runner-up spot on lap fourteen but he was
unable to mount a challenge to the Madsen onslaught as they
raced through the final laps of the ten-mile sprint. Skip
Jackson also made a pass of Garner two laps later to place
third. And that is how the top four finished with Madsen's
Vermeer Cool-Shaver leading the way to the checkered flags.
Jaymie Moyle was fifth.
Jac Haudenschild, Travis Cram, Mike Reinke, Randy Hannagan,
and Jeremy Campbell completed the top ten finishers on a
racetrack made heavy by a light shower just after the five
o'clock hour and nearly two inches of precipitation over the
previous twenty-four hours.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Scott Beritzer, the B&B
Products heat went to Billy Alley, the Engler Machine and Tool
heat was won by Shane Stewart, the TP Wings heat fell to Brooke
Tatnell and the other heats to Jeff Johnson, Clint Garner, Joe
Beaver, Jaymie Moyle, Jeremy Campbell and Wayne Johnson. Aaron
Berryhill and John Vandenberg won the twin University of
Northwestern Ohio B Mains. A total of 80 cars were in
competition. Jason Johnson and Daron Clayton were battling hard
for third in a heat when the two touched. Johnson went
head-first into the turn four wall. He was uninjured other than
some stitches in his hand.

Greg Wilson Sails at LOS
Lake of the Ozarks Speedway
July 21, 2004
ELDON, MO - Greg Wilson loves Lake
Ozark Speedway. He backed up his earlier win a month ago with a
second Haulmark All Star sprint 30 lap feature triumph Wednesday
night. Wilson got by early leader Phil Gressman and led Chad
Kemenah and Randy Hannagan across the finish line on the
beautiful 3/8 mile oval.
Jerrod Hull and Gressman in the Premiere Motorsports No.
70 made up row one for the start, followed by Jason Johnson's
Cox Fabricating machine, Wilson's Bob Hampshire No. 63,
Kemenah's Harble Motorsports 15k and Hannagan's THR Racing 1x.
Gressman led early utilizing the bottom groove before getting
passed by Wilson on lap eight. Wilson then led Gressman, Hull,
Hannagan and All Star points leader Kemenah. Hannagan was very
fast and took over second, using the top groove to reel in the
low running Wilson. Hannagan challenged the leader several
times, but was never able to get by.
Gressman dropped back to eighth and then pulled in just past
the half way point. The track was two grooved with cars running
all over the place searching for the fast way around.
Kemenah moved up to third, and his chase of runner-up
Hannagan was on. Kemenah got past the Hurricane for second on
lap 13, and then the caution flew for a stopped Jon Agan on lap
17.
Wilson now led Kemenah, Hannagan, Jason Johnson and Hull.
Hannagan retook second following the restart, but Kemenah
recaptured that position with three laps remaining when Hannagan
jumped the cushion in turn four and fell to third. Kemenah
finally did catch Wilson but when Wilson got to lapped traffic
he was gone. Wilson executed the traffic perfectly weaving in
and out of traffic dodging the tractor tires on the bottom and
cars on the top avoiding disaster on at least two separate
occasions.
Johnson held on for the fourth spot, with Jesse Hockett being
the rocket at the end of the race running the top and blowing by
cars after the last restart to finish fifth.
Dean Jacobs in Guy Webb's car moved quickly from ninth
starting spot into the top five and finished sixth working the
high line of the speedway. Danny Smith earned the Fisher
Performance Hard Charger award, coming from 15th starting spot
to seventh, ahead of Hull, Bill Rose and Wayne Johnson.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Tim Hunter, the B&B Products
heat went to Derek O'Dell and the Engler Machine and Tool heat
was won by Danny Smith. Paul May won the University of
Northwestern Ohio B Main. Wilson captured the Haulmark Dash and
Hannagan was the Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier.

Dean Jacobs Gets West Virginia
Win
Haulmark All Star Sprint Results – West Virginia Motor Speedway
– Sat. 7/10/04 By Scott Hall
MINERAL WELLS, WV – Dean Jacobs captured his first win of the
season Saturday night at West Virginia Motor Speedway as the
Haulmark All Star sprints returned to 5/8 mile oval for the
first time in 14 years. Jacobs, aboard his own No. 27 Maxim with
Ott power, took the lead on lap 10 from early leader Brock Mayes
and fought off Chad Kemenah at the finish. His winning team is
supported by Attica Raceway Park, Pike Supply, Waverly Quick
Lube and Pullins Motorsports. After rain and fog delays, the
checkered flag fell on the event at 4:12 a.m.
Mayes and Jon Agan made up the front row for the start, followed
by Danny Smith and Jeremy Campbell. Mayes led the first three
laps with Agan and Campbell following until Agan got sideways in
turn two and collected Campbell, bringing out the first caution.
This put Smith into second for the restart. Mayes led until he
jumped the cushion on lap seven, allowing Smith to get by. But
Smith’s pass was nullified by a caution for Craig McGuire’s
stalled machine. McGuire had been running eighth.
Mayes bolted out to another big lead, followed by Smith, ninth
starter Dean Jacobs and Kemenah. Jacobs got around Smith for
second on lap nine, and put a turn one slide job on Mayes for
the lead on lap 10. Then Smith and Kemenah followed Jacobs past
Mayes before the action was slowed again when Jon Agan flipped
on lap 14.
Jacobs led for the restart, with Kemenah applying pressure to
Smith for second. Kemenah ducked under Smith for second a lap
later. Kemenah could not catch Jacobs until the leaders got into
lapped traffic. Kemenah pulled right up to Jacobs with three
laps to go. Kemenah was poised to make a pass, but the lapped
car of Andy McKisson got in the way, allowing Jacobs to
bolt ahead again and seal the win.
Smith was third at the end ahead of Greg Wilson, Rob Chaney and
Mayes.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Rob Chaney, the B&B Products heat
went to Butch Schroeder, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was
won by Bill Rose and Jimmy Stinson won the University of
Northwestern Ohio B Main. Kemenah was the Huggins Cams Fast Time

the Haulmark Dash. Ryan Coniam took a hard flip in the third
heat, but he emerged uninjured. A late afternoon rain shower
delayed the start of the program by almost five hours.

Kaeding Wins at LimaLand
7-2-04
ALLENTOWN, OH – Before Friday night, many fans in attendance at
Limaland Motorsports Park had only read about Tim Kaeding in the
racing papers. Well, those fans found out he was for real as the
California driver led all 30 laps in the Haulmark All Star
sprint
car Ohio Speedweek feature.
All Star Sprint Ohio Speedweek – Limaland Motorsports Park –
Fri. 7/2/04 By Scott Hall It was race six of the 22nd annual
Ohio Outlaw Sprint Speedweek and it was Kaeding’s first career
All Star win in the Beef Packer’s No. 83JR Eagle Chassis with
Wesmar power. Local favorite Greg Wilson pulled close several
times in lapped traffic but could never mount a serious
challenge to Kaeding.
“We talked about tying the left side of the car down a little
bit to go through the rough stuff and when we got into lapped
traffic we picked our spots and kept the momentum up,” was how
Kaeding described his race. “It was great for the H&R Cattle
team. We struggled the last couple nights and this was just fun
tonight. This is a blast.”
It was an all California front row for the start with Kaeding
and Randy Hannagan leading the field. Kaeding rocketed out to
the lead at the start with third starter Wilson taking second in
the Bob Hampshire machine and Tim Hunter third ahead of Hannagan.
Kaeding pushed out to a half straightaway lead as the battle
heated up for second between Wilson and All Star points leader
Chad Kemenah. Kemenah dove low under Wilson to grab second on
lap ten, then the red flag came out when fourth place runner
Hunter hit the wall and flipped in turn three. Kelly Kinser,
running 11th at this point, also went pitside with mechanical
problems under the red.
When the green came back out, it was Kaeding again on top with
Wilson and Kemenah battling furiously for second. Kemenah ran
second ahead of Wilson until lap 17 when Wilson went high off
turn four to grab the runnerup spot.
After Kemenah battled back for second again, Wilson took back
the spot on lap 20 with Haudenschild now challenging Kemenah for
third. Wilson was closing on the leader in lapped traffic and
closed to within two car lengths of Kaeding. Just as Wilson
appeared to be able to make a move for the lead, heavy lapped
traffic killed his momentum. Meanwhile, Haudenschild and Blaney
both got past Kemenah. With two laps to go, Todd Kane and Jesse
Hockett made contact, with Hockett stopping on the backstretch
with front end damage.
This set up a two lap dash to the checkered and $5,000. The
partisan crowd was rooting for Wilson, but Kaeding rode the
cushion home for the win. Wilson rode home second with
Haudenschild crossing third and Blaney was fourth. John Ivy
started tenth and was fifth at the end and Kemenah faded to
sixth. Hannagan was seventh and Danny Smith eighth.
Smith flipped after the checkered as he ran into a Jan Howard
and Robbie Farr collision in turn one. Dean Jacobs was ninth and
Paul May tenth.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Smith, the B&B Products heat went
to Phil Gressman, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won by
Todd Kane and the TP Wings heat fell to Jeremy Campbell. Wilson
captured the Haulmark Dash and Kemenah was the Huggins Cams Fast
Time qualifier and also won the University of Northwestern Ohio
B Main.
Bill Rose flipped hard in the first heat. He was out for the
rest of the evening.

Blaney Stays Hot With Fremont Win
Haulmark All Star Sprint Ohio
Speedweek - Fremont Speedway - THU. 7/1/04 By Scott Hall
FREMONT, OH - Dale Blaney was on cruise control Thursday
night at Fremont Speedway in the Haulmark All Star sprint car 40
lap Ohio Speedweek feature. His third win of the week in round
five of the 22nd annual Speedweek was run in front of a standing
room only crowd and came in wire-to-wire fashion.
"We qualified 11th and were lucky enough to start on the
front row. I don't know if we could have won from 11th or not,"
Blaney stated from victory lane. "Tom and Fritz Andrews do a
great job with the car along with George Fisher." His winning
Maxim featured a Fisher engine under the hood.
Starting from the pole, Blaney rocketed out to an immediate
lead, followed by Bobby Clark and Rob Chaney. Clark and Jeremy
Campbell both disposed of Chaney in the first two laps and began
trying to keep Blaney in sight.
Blaney built a half straightway lead over Clark and Campbell,
who were dueling back and forth for second. Once a pair of
yellows on laps eight and ten were cleaned up, Blaney again set
the pace. Kelly Kinser, who started sixth in the Rotochopper 4K,
was now fourth and put Campbell in his sights.
Blaney, once in lapped traffic, kept his advantage over
Clark.
After the halfway mark John Ivy was the man on the move as
Tuesday's feature winner began to pass cars. He started 14th and
was 19th on lap 23 and seventh by lap 30. Kinser took third from
Campbell on lap 35, but he could not catch Clark for second.
As the laps wound down, Blaney cruised through lapped traffic
and Clark began eating into the leader's advantage, but Blaney
still won by half a lap at the checkered. Kinser rode home third
with Campbell holding on for fourth. Chaney rode home fifth with
Ivy moving into sixth at the end. Ninth starter Tim Hunter came
in seventh and Greg Wilson, moving into the Andy James No. 72
for the A Main, started last and moved steadily through the
pack for eighth. Danny Smith started 23rd and finished ninth
ahead of Brock Mayes.
"Andy Potter has the car real nice right now. He told me to
just be patient and it would come around," hometown driver Clark
said after finishing second. "I wish we had ten more laps
because it was really hooking up at the end. I got tied up
behind lapped cars for about five laps and it really killed me."
"We were tight all race, then it freed up at the end. I'm
tired of looking at that 72 in front of me," Kinser said with a
smile after his third place run. "We may not be running fast
here but we put on a good show, running side by side," he
concluded.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Lee Jacobs, the B&B Products
heat went to Andrew Palker, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was
won by Craig Mintz and the TP Wings heat fell to John Ivy.
Brandon Martin won the Outerwears Pre-filters C Main and Tim
Hunter won the University of Northwestern Ohio B Main. Bill Rose
captured the Haulmark Dash and Kinser was the Huggins Cams Fast
Time qualifier.

Blaney Likes Home Cookin' at

Haulmark All Star Sprint Ohio
Speedweek - Sharon Speedway - Wed. 6/30/04 By Scott Hall
HARTFORD, OH - Dale Blaney scored a popular home track
win Wednesday night at Sharon Speedway in the Haulmark All Star
sprint car 30 lap feature. Round four of the 22nd annual Ohio
Speedweek returned to Sharon Speedway after a two year absence
and showed Blaney winning his second Speedweek feature of the
season in the Andrews Motorsports No. 72 wrenched by George
Fisher. It was his eighth career Ohio Speedweek win and he
credited his intimate knowledge of the track surface for the
winning race setup.
"We knew what tire to put on. We had a little harder tire on.
I don't know how many people had that one on. When the track
gets like this it seems like a harder tire goes better," he
revealed from victory lane. "We caught traffic good and the car
was great all night."
Lee Jacobs and Kemenah took the green from the front row,
with Bobby Clark and Jarod Larson in row two. Jacobs rocketed
out to the early lead, followed by Kemenah and Clark. Sixth
starting Blaney dove low under Clark for third on lap eight, and
his chase of the leaders was on. Meanwhile, Kemenah reeled in
Jacobs as the youngster got into lapped traffic. Kemenah pulled
right on the back bumper of Jacobs, and on lap 11 dove low off
turn two to take over the runnerup spot. Blaney followed Kemenah
past Jacobs into second and rode the high groove to catch up to
Kemenah. In heavy lapped traffic, Blaney drove high around
Kemenah coming off turn four to lead lap 14. From that point on,
Blaney stretched his advantage and was never challenged again.
Kemenah held second, with Clark taking third and Jacobs was now
fourth.
Kelly Kinser was now on the move after starting 18th, and was
fifth on lap 20. Kinser was fourth when the only caution of the
event appeared on lap 22 for a Jesse Hockett flat tire.
Blaney maintained his advantage following the restart, with
Kemenah riding home second and Clark finishing third, despite
the car tightening up on him at the end. Blaney thought his
right rear was going flat at the end, but he was still able to
hold on for the win. Kinser crossed fourth with Jacobs fifth.
Danny Smith started ninth and finished sixth, followed by Rob
Chaney, John Ivy up from 20th, 11th starting Randy Hannagan and
Tim Kaeding rounded out the top ten.
"The track got slick and wide and they did a rally good job
prepping the racetrack," Kemenah said after finishing second.
"You could pass on this track tonight, at least you could race
on it."
The Crown Battery heat fell to Jack Sodeman Jr., the B&B
Products heat went to John Ivy, the Engler Machine and Tool heat
was won by Randy Hannagan and the TP Wings heat fell to Ed Lynch
Jr. Jac Haudenschild won the Outerwears Pre-filters C Main and
Phil Gressman won the University of Northwestern Ohio B Main.
Rob Chaney captured the Haulmark Dash and Jesse Hockett was the

John Ivy Scores Speedweek Win at
Fremont
Haulmark All Star Sprint Ohio Speedweek - Fremont Speedway -
Tue. 6/29/04
By Scott Hall
FREMONT, OH - John Ivy scored an impressive win Tuesday
night at Fremont Speedway in the Haulmark All Star sprint
car 40 lap Ohio Speedweek feature sponsored by Coors
Beer. After taking the lead from early leader Lee Jacobs on lap
25, Ivy led the rest of the way for his first All Star win of
the season over Greg Wilson. He also became the third different
Speedweek winner this week. Ivy earned a $500 bonus from Kear's
Speed Shop for winning with the track spec Goodyear right rear
tire.
"Lee Jacobs had me worried, then about halfway through the
race I finally found the middle groove," Ivy stated. He then
thanked Sonny's Machining and Welding, Kistler Engines,
Pro-shocks and his
car owners Sid and Beth
Eikelberry for their support. "Man this is awesome," he
concluded.
Jacobs and Ivy started on the front row with Wilson and Todd
Heller making up row two. Jacobs bolted out to a strong lead,
with Ivy trailing in second. Wilson held third with Haudenschild
in fourth. By the halfway point Ivy reeled Jacobs back in
through heavy lapped traffic, and the leaders were nose to tail.
Ivy kept right on Jacobs, and used his Fremont experience to
make the winning pass by diving under Jacobs to lead lap 25. Ivy
was clearly the fastest car on the track, and pushed out to a
huge lead.
Wilson came on strong at the end of the race, going high
around Jacobs to take second on lap 35, but he trailed Ivy by a
half lap at the end. Jacobs was third at the end ahead of Jac
Haudenschild, Heller, ninth starter Kelly Kinser, last starter
David Harrison and Byron Reed. Mark Keegan ended up ninth and
Dale Blaney was tenth.
"Hopefully things are coming together for us," Wilson said
after his runnerup finish. "The American Racer Tires are coming
around. John Ivy is tough here, so congratulations to him and
his team."
"We were really good at the start. I'm just not as good in
the middle as John Ivy is at this race track, " Jacobs said
after finishing third in the Burmeister No. 16. "At the end the
car just faded away."
The Crown Battery heat fell to Brock Mayes, the B&B Products
heat went to Jesse Hockett, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was
won by David Harrison and the TP Wings heat fell to Rob Chaney.
Caleb Griffith won the Outerwears Pre-filters C Main and Craig
Mintz won the University of Northwestern Ohio B Main. John Ivy
captured the Haulmark Dash and Mark Keegan was the Huggins Cams
Fast Time qualifier. Randy Hannagan was the non-qualifier's race
winner.

Blaney Takes Attica Speedweek
Feature
Haulmark All Star Sprint Ohio
Speedweek - Attica Raceway Park - Sun. 6/27/04 By Scott Hall
ATTICA, OH - Dale Blaney recorded his fourth win of the
season Sunday night at Attica Raceway Park in the Haulmark All
Star sprint car 40 lap Ohio Speedweek round number two. Blaney
ran down Chad Kemenah and passed him to lead the final four
circuits in the Andrews Motorsports No. 72. Kemenah was second
and Tim Hunter an impressive third after leading early.
"Tim Hunter ran an awful good race for a long time," Blaney
said in victory lane. "Chad Kemenah kept working and digging and
he showed me top in one and two and I started working it. Then I
started working the middle and I had one shot at him and I knew
that was going to be it so I had to take it," was how he
described his winning pass of the series' points leader.
"My wing slider stuck, and once my tire came in I couldn't
get my wing forward," Hunter said after finishing third. "I was
just trying to hang on. You just hope she turns before you go
off the end of the racetrack." It was his best finish of the
season.
Byron Reed and Hunter led the field to the green with Reed
leading a lap before doing a spin in front of the whole pack.
This put Hunter on top followed by Greg Wilson and Kemenah. The
red appeared with four laps in the books as Bill Rose flipped in
turn three. Rose was able to make repairs and restart. He then
spun a lap later and exited the event, ending his run from the
non-qualifiers race into the C, B and A mains.
Hunter led again after the red, followed by Kemenah and
Wilson. Meanwhile, seventh starting Blaney was up to fourth with
John Ivy fifth.
After the halfway point Kemenah began challenging Hunter,
and he drove around Hunter coming off turn four to lead lap 23.
Hunter was second with Blaney now third. It was a three car race
now, with Blaney slowly closing in
on Hunter. Blaney finally took over second on lap 34, and closed
on Kemenah with a big run. Blaney rode the middle groove off
turn four to take over the top spot, and victory was his. Blaney,
Hunter and Ivy followed. Wilson was fifth, with 13th starting
Lee Jacobs sixth, ahead of Todd Kane, Byron Reed all the way
back up from last on lap one, Kelly Kinser, Danny Smith and
Jeremy Campbell crossed the line 11th.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Jesse Hockett, the B&B
Products heat went to Haudenschild, the Engler Machine and Tool
heat was won by Lee Jacobs and the TP Wings heat fell to Aussie
driver Robbie Farr. Jan Howard won the Outerwears Pre-filters C
Main and David Harrison won the University of Northwestern Ohio
B Main. Hunter captured the Haulmark Dash and Danny Smith was
the Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier. Eric Rankin won the last
chance race. Mark Keegan took a nasty flip in his heat race, but
he emerged uninjured, as did Shane Helms from his flip.

Haudeschild Wins at Eldora
Haulmark All Star Sprint Ohio
Speedweek Results - Eldora Speedway - Sat. 6/26/04 By Scott Hall
ROSSBURG, OH - It's hard to believe, but Jac
Haudenschild had never won an Ohio Speedweek feature until
Saturday night at Eldora Speedway. Haudenschild ran down early
leader Tim Kaeding and led the final 17 laps in the Haulmark All
Star sprint car 30 lap Ohio Speedweek feature. For the opening
race of the 22nd annual Speedweek, Haudenschild's Jamie Miller
owned Ham Signs Maxim team pocketed $5,000.
"Tim Kaeding had me worried," Haudenschild revealed. "He was
running really good. I've raced with the Kaeding's all my life
and the boys run as good as the old man does," Haud added.
With a pair of Tim's, Hunter and Kaeding, leading the pack to
the green flag, Kaeding jumped out to an impressive early lead.
Fourth starting Dale Blaney ran second behind Kaeding until he
brought out the first caution when he slowed on the frontstretch
on lap seven. Blaney was forced to pit for repairs and at the
same time Greg Wilson, who spun to a stop, went pitside.
Kaeding jumped out to another nice lead when the green
reappeared, followed by third starter Haudenschild, Chad Kemenah
and Butch Schroeder. As the laps ticked off, Haudenschild began
reeling in Kaeding as they entered lapped traffic on lap 14.
Haudenschild closed to two car lengths. The leaders were nose to
tail on lap 16, and Haudenschild tried a slide job in turn
three, but Kaeding had enough momentum to repel the charge. The
next lap Haudenschild dove low in turn three for a classic
Eldora slide job and emerged with the lead. But a lap later the
red flew when Ron Blair tagged the turn two concrete and
flipped.
Haudenschild led for the restart, with Kaeding still second
and third was a tussle between Kemenah and Butch Schroeder.
Schroeder eventually dropped out with mechanical problems,
leaving Kemenah with third all to himself. A pair of flats
slowed the action as seventh place Rob Chaney and top ten runner
Phil Gressman both stopped the action and were able to replace
tires for the restarts. The final seven laps went all green,
with Haudenschild pushing out to a two-thirds of a straightaway
win over Kaeding.
"It's the first time I've seen this place in my life,"
Kaeding said after finishing second in the Dennis Roth Beef
Packers 83 Jr. "I've played it a hundred times on the sprint car
game but it's a lot different in person. Jac rules this place. I
was way afraid to get as close to the wall as he did."
Kemenah was third, followed by Randy Hannagan, who came all
the way from 18th starting spot. Dean Jacobs, after starting
13th, was fourth ahead of Chaney, Danny Smith, last starting
Nick Naber, Jimmy Stinson and Missouri's Jesse Hockett.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Stinson, the B&B Products heat
went to Greg Wilson, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won by
Jeremy Campbell and the TP Wings heat fell to Darren Long in a
360 cubic inch powered machine. Dean Jacobs won the University
of Northwestern Ohio B Main while Jac Haudenschild captured the
Haulmark Dash and Kemenah was the Huggins Cams Fast Time
qualifier. Jack Sodeman Jr. won the Hoserville Ohio $100 time
trial award.

of Dale Blaney Friday night at Lernerville Speedway to win the
Haulmark All Star sprint car 35 lap Earl and David Bauman
Memorial feature. The event paid $6,000 to win, with the
additional $1,000 coming from event sponsor Commercial Truck and
Trailer. The All Star feature was a makeup from a rained out
event in August, 2003 and it was Lynch's seventh career All Star
win and his sixth win here this season.
"I've been trying to win this Bauman memorial race a long
time. I've been second a lot but I've never one this one
before," Lynch stated. "It was slide job after slide job, we
used the whole racetrack. Dale was rolling turns one and two a
lot better than I was and I was better in three and four." His
J&J is sponsored by Indy Recycling, Commercial Truck & Trailer,
Kistler Engines, Hoosier Tires, Weld Wheels and Red Devil
Brakes.
Rod George and Blaney led the field to the start, followed by
Ryan Coniam, Lynch, Jr., Chad Kemenah and Chad Hill. Blaney
grabbed the initial lead, holding off George for the first three
laps until a Gary Kreiss flip stopped the action. For the
restart it was Blaney, George, Lynch, Coniam and Kemenah.
Lynch dove low in turns three and four to lead lap five, and
began running away from Blaney. The event went green until lap
18 when Arnie Kent and Dan Shetler went off turn one, bringing
out a caution. The running order behind Lynch was now Blaney,
George, Kemenah, Jamie Smith and Dean Jacobs. Lynch pushed out
to another half straightaway lead until he entered heavy lapped
traffic. This allowed Blaney to close and put a slide job on
Lynch to lead lap 32. Lynch battled back, going low under Blaney
on lap 33. The lead duo were side by side, with Blaney slightly
ahead. Lynch tried a slider the next lap, but Blaney held him
off. But the final lap was all Lynch as he slid under Blaney to
grab the lead going down the backstretch to win by three car
lengths. In third was Kemenah, after passing George on lap 23.
Jacobs started 12th and moved up to fourth at the end ahead of
George and Danny Smith, up from 21st starting spot, earning the
Fisher Performance Hard Charger award. Jamie Smith was seventh
with Jeremy Campbell eighth, Phil Gressman ninth and Jack
Sodeman Jr. tenth.
For leading lap 18, Blaney received a $500 bonus from Jack
Lewis, in honor of his late son, former sprint car driver Spanky
Lewis. Lewis also paid a $200 bonus to the first non-qualifier
from the b Main, Scott Priester.
In preliminaries run on Aug. 29, 2003 the Crown Battery heat
fell to Kenny Jacobs, the B&B Products heat went to Eric Smith,
the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won by Dean Jacobs and the
TP Wings heat fell to Shane Stewart. Jeff Shepard won the B Main
and Kemenah was the Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier. The last
chance race fell to Gary Kreiss.

Danny Smith wins in Virginia
SALUDA, VA - Danny Smith passed
Bill Rose and ran away from Chad Kemenah to win Thursday night's
Virginia Motor Speedway Haulmark All Star sprint car 30 lap
feature. Smith's second win of the season in the Pence GMC-Olds
Doug Williams Trucking Maxim machine came in the first ever
visit by the All Stars to the beautiful half-mile oval.
Rose and Jeremy Campbell brought the field down for the green
flag and it was Rose jumping out into the early lead. Rose drove
a flawless race up through the halfway point of the 15 mile
contest, with Campbell riding in second and Paul May was third
in front of Smith, who started third.
Just past the halfway mark, Campbell began applying heavy
pressure on the leader and May closed on Campbell as the leaders
wove through lapped traffic. On lap 16 May tried a pass on
Campbell, and he moved by in the low groove for second as
Campbell lost his momentum, allowing Smith to also get by him
for third. A pair of circuits later May got real loose off turn
four, allowing Smith to blow by into second place behind leader
Rose.
Lap 19 saw Rose get loose going into turn one with Smith
moving high alongside him. Smith was unable to make the pass,
but had enough speed to dive low under Rose in turns three and
four and emerge with the lead after the classic sprint car slide
job.
May then moved up and brushed wheels with Rose to take
second, and Kemenah also got by the Indiana driver. May then got
loose off turn two, allowing Kemenah to take over second.
Meanwhile, Smith was building a full straightaway lead but that
lead evaporated on lap 25 when the red flag flew. Ryan Coniam
and May were going for the same spot on the track in turn three
and collided. This resulted in flips by Coniam and May. Coniam
was finished for the evening, but May was able to continue. Once
the green reappeared, Smith pulled away easily to win by a half
straightway over series points leader Kemenah's Jim Harble
Eagle. Rose was third in his own No. 6, followed by the leading
rookie of 2004, Campbell. Greg Wilson, in Bob Hampshire's No.
63, was fifth, ahead of Tim Hunter, up from 12th. Jon Agan
recorded his best finish of the year, seventh, in the Dee Zee
Truck Accessories No. 4J. Mike Lutz was eighth in the Chiapelli
No. 98, flowed by Brock Mayes and Springfield, Illinois driver
Eddie Lynch.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Huggins Cams Fast Time
qualifier Chad Kemenah and the B&B Products heat went to Mike
Lutz. Kemenah also won the Haulmark Dash. Tim Hunter won the
Fisher Performance Hard Charger award for passing six cars in
the feature.

Kemenah Takes Tri-State
Haulmark All Star Sprint Results -
Tri-State Speedway - Sun. 6/13/04 By Scott Hall
HAUBSTADT, IN - Chad Kemenah took advantage of a late race
restart to pass Lee Dunn Sunday night at Tri-State Speedway to
win the caution plagued Haulmark All Star sprint car 30 lap
feature. Early leader Jac Haudenschild looked strong initially,
but a spin all by himself on lap four sent him to the rear,
dropping him from contention for the win. But Haudenschild did
not give up, racing his way back to eighth place at the finish.
Missouri's Dunn and Ohio's Haudenschild brought the 24 car
field down for the green flag with Haudenschild grabbing the
lead over Dunn, Greg Wilson and Tim Hunter. After a restart with
a single lap in the books, Haudenschild led over Dunn and Wilson
with Dunn moving up to the high groove to challenge the Wild
Child for the lead. Another caution thwarted Dunn's move,
allowing Haudenschild to retain the lead.
Bad luck hit when Haudenschild lost the handle on the Jamie
Miller No. 6m in turn three, executing a 360 degree spin which
brought out the yellow. This sent Haudenschild to the rear for
the restart on lap four and handed the lead to Dunn, with Wilson
in second and Danny Smith third. Smith tried to get past Wilson
in the low groove, but Wilson slammed the door to keep the spot.
Kyle Cummins hit the turn four wall and flipped with six laps
complete, slowing action again.
Dunn was still on top for the restart, and led before a crash
between Wilson and Smith sent them both to the pits for repairs.
Wilson put a huge slide job on Dunn for the lead, but ended up
hitting the fence, collecting Smith in the process. Only Smith
was able to make front end repairs and rejoin the back of the
field.
Dunn now led over fifth starting Kemenah, Kelly Kinser,
Hunter and Randy Hannagan. Dunn was able to stretch his
advantage over Kemenah and the leaders narrowly avoided disaster
on lap 10 when Curt Trainer spun right in
front of second place Kemenah just after being lapped by Dunn.
Kemenah was able to just miss Trainer as the caution flew again.
Haudenschild was the man on the move, passing Kevin Briscoe for
tenth on lap 13. He moved to ninth two circuits later.
As the leaders entered heavy lapped traffic, Kemenah tried a
slide job on lap 16, but Dunn repelled the charge. Heavy traffic
slowed Dunn again on lap 24 with Kemenah trying another slide
job. Just as Kemenah dove alongside Dunn, Tim Montgomery spun,
bringing out a caution.
This was a break for Dunn, who now had a clear track ahead of
him. Dunn led again, but a caution flag with three laps to go
was his undoing. Kemenah charged past Dunn on the restart,
leading the final few circuits for his
third win of the season in the Jim Harble No. 15K Kistler
powered Eagle .
Kinser and Hunter also got past Dunn, who ended up fourth.
Hunter's third place run was the best All Star finish of his
career. Randy Hannagan held on for fifth, followed by Jerrod
Hull and Bill Rose. Haudenschild was the man on the move all
night, ending up eighth, ahead of Jeremy Campbell and Smith,
nursing home a badly bent and damaged sprinter.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Jerrod Hull, the B&B Products
heat went to Cummins and the Engler Machine and Tool heat was
won by Jan Howard. Ryan Coniam won the University of
Northwestern Ohio B Main. Kemenah captured the Haulmark Dash and
Smith was the Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier.

Wilson Wires LOS
ELDON, MO – Greg Wilson became the
sixth different feature winner in 10 Haulmark All Star races
Friday night at Lake Ozark Speedway in the 30 lap sprint car
feature. He led all the way, holding off Kelly Kinser at the
finish. Wilson’s familiar No. 63 Barfield Gift Fruits Maxim rode
on American Racer Tires with a Bob Hampshire engine under the
hood.
Bill Rose started the A main from
the pole with Wilson on the outside front row. Wilson jumped out
to the immediate lead over Rose and fourth starting Kelly Kinser.
Wilson led the initial stages of the race, and Rose tried to
retake the lead following an early race caution. Wilson held off
Rose’s high groove charge, and then Kinser reeled in Rose,
making a low groove pass for second coming off turn four.
As Wilson entered lapped traffic on
lap10, he slid up to the high groove, almost off the track,
allowing Kinser to close further. Meanwhile, behind the leaders
Kemenah was running third after starting sixth, followed by
Rose, Danny Smith and Randy Hannagan. Rose and Smith kept the
huge crowd on the edge of their seats, battling back and forth
for the fourth spot for four laps before Smith took the spot for
good.
Wilson began building his lead
again, pushing out to a half straight advantage with 17 laps in
the record books. Kinser was able to hold off Kemenah as he
tried to chase down the leader.
Lap 20 saw action stopped for a
stalled Jesse Hockett. The running order was now Wilson, Kinser,
Kemenah, Hannagan, Danny Smith, Paul May, Rose, Jerrod Hull, Jac
Haudenschild and Tim Montgomery. Wilson motored away once the
green reappeared, and led the rest of the distance. At the
checkered Kinser was second over All Star points leader Kemenah,
with Hannagan securing fourth.
Smith finished fifth, ahead of 12th
starter May, 15th starting Timmy Montgomery, 16th starter
Haudenschild, Hockett, who charged forward after causing the lap
20 caution, and Jeremy Campbell.

Haudenschild Wins at K-C Raceway
Haulmark All Star Sprint Results - K-C
Raceway - Sat. 5/29/04 By Scott Hall
ALMA, OH - It was Jac Haudenschild in victory lane for the
second Saturday night in a row. This week's win came at K-C
Raceway in the Haulmark All Star sprint car 30 lap feature. The
11th annual "The Night The Stars Come Out" feature was worth
$5,000 to the driver of Jamie Miller's Ham Signs Maxim. Chad
Kemenah made a late race charge for second with Dean Jacobs
finishing third.
"We had a little problem with our front wing there but got it
patched up under the red," Haudenschild revealed. "Jamie Miller
had the car perfect tonight."
Current points leader Kemenah and Danny Smith made up row one
for the start, followed by Nick Naber, Haudenschild, Jacobs and
Dale Blaney. Smith jumped out to the lead in the high groove,
followed by Kemenah and Haudenschild. The lead duo ran side by
side for the first three laps with Haudenschild right on their
back bumper before a red flew for a Todd Kane flip on lap three.
Haudenschild kept the pressure on after the restart, taking second
from Kemenah going down the backstretch on lap five. The next lap
the "Wild Child put a huge slide job on Smith, passing him low in
turn three and banging hard off the turn four cushion to take the
lead.
Once in the lead, Haudenschild pulled away from Smith. Kemenah
was right on Smith's bumper and took over second from him with a
bold move off turn four. Haudenschild led through several caution
periods, and then with a
dozen laps in the books Haudenschild had amassed a
half-straightaway lead. Jacobs was now on the move and put a slide
job on Smith in turn two for third at the halfway point of the
race. With several more caution flags flying, Haudenschild pulled
away from Kemenah at each restart.
With 22 laps in the books, Jacobs was right on the back bumper
of Kemenah, and he tried a high groove pass, but it did not work.
A turn three slide job by Jacobs the next lap did the trick,
enabling him to take over second from Kemenah. Jacobs was now
gaining on the leader Haudenschild, and on lap 25 Haudenschild's
front wing was working loose, causing him to drift off the top
edge of turn two, losing most of his lead and putting Jacobs
right on the back bumper of the leader.
With a spin by seventh place Byron Reed with 25 laps complete,
a red was displayed for a fuel stop. The restart lineup was
Haudenschild, Jacobs, Kemenah, Smith, Kelly Kinser, up from eighth
starting spot, and Dale Blaney. Haudenschild pushed out to a half
straightaway lead as Kemenah slid under Jacobs for second on lap
27. At the end it was Haudenschild, Kemenah, Jacobs and Smith.
Kinser was fifth, followed by 10th starter Greg Wilson, Blaney,
Phil Gressman, up from 15th starting spot, Jeremy Campbell and
18th starting Bill Rose.
"The fans got to see a good show tonight," Kemenah stated after
finishing second. "We didn't have any brakes from lap one, so
we'll take second."
"We really didn't want to see that red flag because Jac had a
problem with his noise wing and we had a nice rhythm going there,
so I though we might have had a shot. But after that red flag in
open racetrack he (Haudenschild) was a hard man to pass," Jacobs
said. "It was fun. I'd rather race like this on a rough racetrack
rather than feathering the gas pedal on a dry slick track any
day."
The Crown Battery heat fell to Phil Gressman, the B&B Products
heat went to Brock Mayes, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won
by Paul May and the TP Wings heat fell to Jac Haudenschild. Todd
Kane won the University of Northwestern Ohio B Main, Smith
captured the Haulmark Dash and Blaney was the Huggins Cams Fast
Time qualifier.

Blaney Gets Attica (OH) All-Stars
Win
Haulmark All Star Sprint Results -
Attica Raceway Park - Fri. 5/28/04 By Scott Hall
ATTICA, OH - Dale Blaney backed up his Wednesday night win
with a Friday night victory at Attica Raceway Park in the Haulmark
All Star sprint car 40 lap feature. Byron Reed led the first 26
laps until Blaney, who started 12th, got by and led the rest of
the way.
"We've been really good when it gets slick. The track took a
bit of rubber then I just snuck up around Byron. I just got around
him before the rubber got heavy. Then I lost my header under the
yellow and I started pedaling pretty good with no header on it.
But it worked out pretty good," Blaney said from victory lane. He
drives the Andrews Motorsports Maxim with George Fisher power.
With Jac Haudenschild on the pole for the start, Reed lined up
second followed by Danny Smith, Jeremy Campbell, Mark Keegan and
All Star points leader Chad Kemenah. Reed led from the start,
followed by Haudenschild and Campbell. With Reed pushing to a nice
lead, Campbell and Haudenschild began a battle for second, with
Campbell getting a nice low groove run to take the spot on lap
seven. Then Campbell got alongside Reed to take the lead, but a
yellow flew, nullifying the move.
The John Ivy spin with nine laps in the books reset the lineup
as Reed leading, with Campbell back to second followed by
Haudenschild, Smith and Kemenah. Campbell kept challenging Reed,
and the pair went side by side for the next six laps. Campbell
would take the lead on the backstretch, but Reed was stronger off
the turns to officially lead each lap. A lap 16 caution was
displayed as Brandon Martin spun, with a yellow a lap later for
debris on the track. After the race it was discovered that the
debris was Blaney's header. Reed still led Campbell, Haudenschild,
Kemenah, Smith and Blaney was now sixth for the restart. Blaney
picked off Smith and Kemenah on lap 18 as Campbell and Reed put on
another crowd pleasing side by side battle.
Blaney took third on lap 21, and drove under Campbell for
second two laps later. Now he set his sights on Reed. It took him
three laps to reel in the Reebar Die Casting No. 5, and Blaney
finally made a high groove backstretch pass stick.
Blaney pulled away from Reed once in the lead, and weaved
expertly through lapped traffic to seal the win. Reed ran second
at the end with Haudenschild taking third from Campbell on lap 33.
Wilson was fifth after starting 14th, followed by Kemenah, Smith,
Kinser, Lee Jacobs and Bill Rose.
"Jeremy is going to be a good racer. He was pushing me, making
me run harder. But then Dale was a little bit better than we
were," Reed recalled.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier
Kemenah, the B&B Products heat went to Greg Wilson, the Engler
Machine and Tool heat was won by Craig Mintz and the TP Wings heat
fell to Caleb Griffith. Eric Rankin won the Outerwears
Pre-filters C Main and Bill Rose won the University of
Northwestern Ohio B Main after Danny Smith captured the Haulmark
Dash. Phil Gressman flipped in hot laps, ending his night and Jon
Agan and Eddie Lynch flipped in the first heat. All were okay.
Aaron Scott captured the 30 lap ALMS late model main over Shane
Yoder and Brian Ruhlman.

Blaney Wins at Wayne Countu (OH)
Haulmark All Star Sprint Results -
Wayne Co. Speedway - Wed. 5/26/04 By Scott Hall
ORRVILLE, OH - Dale Blaney scored his second win of the
season Wednesday night at Wayne Co. Speedway in the Haulmark All
Star sprint car 40 lap feature. The Pete Jacobs Memorial paid the
Hartford, Ohio driver $5,000 to win. Kelly Kinser made a late
charge at the end but came up two car lengths short at the finish
line.
"The guys had the car really good all night. We put a pretty
hard tire on and it wore down pretty good," Blaney recalled. "It
was hard to get through lapped traffic. I felt like I was slowing
down quite a bit at the end and I knew someone (Kelly Kinser) was
coming near the end," Blaney added, standing alongside his Andrews
Motorsports Maxim-Fisher in victory lane.
Dean Jacobs and Andrew Palker led the field to the green flag,
with Phil Gressman and Blaney in row two. Jacobs pushed out to the
immediate lead, with Palker falling in behind. Blaney was in third
and began challenging Palker as Jacobs motored away from the
battle for second. Blaney got past Palker for second with a low
backstretch pass on lap nine, and he began closing on Jacobs as
the leader entered lapped traffic.
With a dozen laps in the books, Blaney was within striking
distance of Jacobs. Two laps later the pair were side by side off
turn four and Blaney slid under Jacobs exiting turn four to lead
lap 14. Lap 16 saw the first caution, with Palker spinning in turn
three, ending his fine third place effort. This put Jacobs, fifth
starter Kinser and Chad Kemenah behind Blaney for the restart.
Blaney pulled out to a nice lead when action stopped for a Jon
Agan flip on lap 19. Once the mess was cleaned up, Blaney pushed
out to another half straightaway lead over Jacobs, with Kinser
stalking the Wooster, Ohio driver for third. With 11 circuits
remaining, Kinser ducked under Jacobs for the runnerup spot.
Blaney was now in lapped traffic, his lead evaporating every lap.
Kinser moved closer and closer, but once Blaney cleared the lapped
car of Caleb Griffith on lap 36, he had some breathing room. Once
Kinser got past Griffith, he reeled Blaney in, but ran out of laps
as the checkered flew, with Kinser finishing second by two car
lengths.
"We were gaining on Dale but he was going pretty good. We just
ran out of time," Kinser said of his late race second place
charge.
"The car was awesome at the beginning of the race. But Dale and
Kelly were going good. We just ran third and that's not bad for
the first night out in this car. So we're happy," Jacobs said
after finishing third. He utilized a Don Ott engine borrowed from
former All Star racer Brian Ellenberger. Fourth was Kemenah,
regaining the series points lead he lost to Danny Smith one race
ago. "Super" Dave Harrison was fifth, followed by 11th starter
John Ivy, Phil Gressman, Bill Rose, Jac Haudenschild (up from 20th
starting spot) and Danny Smith.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Smith, the B&B Products heat
went to Byron Reed, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won by
Dean Jacobs in his brand new No. 27 and the TP Wings heat fell to
Chad Blonde. Jason Dolick won the Outerwears Pre-filters C Main.
The University of Northwestern Ohio B Main winner was David
Harrison and Dale Blaney captured the Haulmark Dash. David
Harrison was the Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier with a new track
record of 16.047 seconds, snapping Shane Stewart's mark of 16.167
set in 2002.

Haudenschild AllStar Winner at
Butler (MI)
Haulmark All Star Sprint Results -
Butler Motor Speedway - Sat. 5/22/04 By Scott Hall
QUINCY, MI - Jac Haudenschild passed Randy Hannagan on lap
11 and led the rest of the way Saturday night at Butler Motor
Speedway in the Haulmark All Star sprint car 30 lap feature. It
was Haudenschild's 16th career All Star win, with his last victory
coming at Eldora Speedway in 1999.
"The track was really good tonight. We ran the bottom the first
half of the race, then the top came in. It got really racy," the
driver of Jamie Miller's Ham Signs, Double J Construction, Sunset
Meats Maxim said after earning $5,000.
Jeremy Campbell led the field to the green alongside Hannagan,
followed by Danny Smith and Haudenschild. Hannagan jumped around
Campbell into the initial lead with Haudenschild tucking into
third. On lap five Haudenschild took second from Campbell with a
low pass off turn four, and he ducked under Hannagan in turn one
to take the lead on lap 11.
Smith and Greg Wilson, who started fifth, also got past
Campbell by the halfway point of the race. The event ran non stop
until lap 25 when Chad Kemenah and Tim Hunter collided in turn
three, with Hunter exiting with a flat. Kemenah was able to tag
the tail of the field for the restart, but he eventually finished
12th, losing the series points lead to Danny Smith by one point.
It was a five lap dash to the finish, with Haudenschild pulling
away from Hannagan when the green reappeared. Smith was now third
ahead of Wilson, Campbell, Brock Mayes, Chad Blonde and Ryan
Coniam in the VSM Abrasives Premiere Pallet No. 70. Haudenschild
motored away in the high groove to win easily over Hannagan. Smith
rode home third in the Pence GMC Maxim, followed by Campbell's
Gaerte powered Maxim. Mayes ran a strong sixth, the best finish of
his rookie season in his own Eagle-Kistler. 11th starter Blonde
finished seventh, ahead of Coniam, Phil Gressman in the Robenalt
Racing No. 98Eagle (up from 15th) and Toledo's Ronnie Beale.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Tim Hunter, the B&B Products
heat went to Eddie Lynch, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won
by Jeff Rankin and the TP Wings heat fell to Ryan Coniam. Jon Agan
won the University of Northwestern Ohio B Main, Jeremy Campbell
captured the Haulmark Dash and Ken Mackey was the Huggins Cams

Blaney Blisters Fremont
Haulmark All Star Sprint Results -
Fremont Speedway - Sat. 5/08/04 By Scott Hall
FREMONT, OH - It was total dominance by Dale Blaney
Saturday night at Fremont Speedway in the Haulmark All Star sprint
car 40 lap feature. He led wire to wire in the Andrews Motorsports
Maxim, earning $5,000 for his first victory of the season. Lee
Jacobs, in the Burmeister No. 16 transferred from the B Main to
the A main, started 10th and came home a strong second with
Indiana's Bill Rose third.
"My car was really good all night long. George Fisher and Tom
Andrews got that thing awful good in the feature, it was easy to
drive. Anyone could have driven this car to victory tonight,"
Blaney related from victory lane.
John Ivy and Blaney led the field to the green flag, with
Blaney taking the initial lead. Ivy, in second, executed a 360
degree spin with a lap in the books, dropping him from second to
last when the yellow came out. Blaney pulled away from Rose when
the green reappeared and Mike Linder, who started seventh was now
third, moving up nicely in the bottom groove. When he entered
lapped traffic on lap nine, Blaney had a full straightaway lead
over Rose. Now Phil Gressman and Byron Reed were battling for
third, just ahead of All Star points leader Chad Kemenah.
Reed took over third, and then Kemenah also got past Gressman.
Kemenah was on the move also, and by lap 19 was battling with
Reed.
Kemenah went low under Reed to take third at the halfway point
of the race, but he slipped off the edge of the track a lap later,
just before a caution flew for a John Ivy and Chad Blonde spin.
This dropped Kemenah to seventh in the field.
Blaney showed his dominance once again following the restart,
and pulled out to another half lap lead. Rose held a consistent
second with Jacobs taking third from Reed on lap 26. Jacobs,
excellent in the low groove, began catching Rose. Jacobs took over
second for good on lap 32. Ivy was also on the move from the back
of the pack again, and was up to fifth with six laps to go.
As the laps wound down, Blaney won easily, with Jacobs second,
Rose third and Ivy fourth. He passed the most cars on the night,
coming from the back of the pack twice in the Carousel Racing No.
20. Mark Keegan started 12th and came in fifth, ahead of 14th
starter Danny Smith. Linder was next, followed by David Harrison,
Kemenah and Craig Mintz, up from 21st starting spot.
"It was just a great night for us, this is pretty amazing,"
Jacobs recalled. "We've been struggling and we finally got this
car operating tonight."
"We had a good night, and had fun tonight," Rose said. "We

Hannagan Wins All-Stars Feature
at Eldora
Haulmark All Star Sprint Results – Eldora Speedway - Sat. 4/24/04
By Scott Hall
ROSSBURG, OH – A hurricane blew through Eldora Speedway Saturday
night. Randy “Hurricane” Hannigan won the Haulmark All Star sprint
car 30 lap feature, recording his first career All Star win.
Hannigan started sixth, took second with 12 laps in and passed
leader Danny Smith for the win on lap 19. His THR Racing Hurricane
Chassis utilized Gaerte power. Hannagan thanked his brother Terry
from victory lane, and indicated that without his support this win
would not have been possible.
The first attempt to start the main saw 18th starting rookie Brock
Mayes take a flip in turn one trying to avoid Jeremy Campbell, who
brushed the turn one concrete. Barry Ruble was also involved.
Jimmy Stinson and rookie Jon Agan brought the field down for the
second start, with Stinson jumping into the lead in the Stinson
Concrete Eagle. Agan held second until lap seven when fourth
starting Smith went by with a turn one slide job. Once in the lead
Smith began stretching his advantage over Stinson, Hannagan and
Jac Haudenschild, who was in a fierce battle with Chad Kemenah. By
lap 11 Hannigan was challenging Stinson for second, and he took
that spot a lap later.
Following a lap 12 caution period, Smith pushed out to a big lead
over Hannagan, and fourth place Haudenschild smacked the turn two
wall sending him deep back into the pack. By the halfway mark,
Smith was approaching lapped traffic again with Hannagan second,
Stinson third and Kemenah fourth. When Smith caught the tail of
the field, he was boxed in by the lapped car of Kent Wolters,
allowing Hannagan to blast by and lead lap 19. Hannagan pulled
away from Smith, but with only a handful of laps remaining, Smith
began reeling in the leader again. Smith was poised to pass
Hannagan to re-take the lead on lap26, but the lapped car of Ryan
Coniam prevented Smith from making his move. Once Smith fell back,
the victory was all Hannagan's, as he won by two car lengths.
Points leader Kemenah was third behind Smith, with Stinson fourth
and 17th starting Jeremy Campbell fifth, earning the Fisher
Performance Hard Charger award.
Next across were Rob Chaney, Bill Rose, Agan, Wilson and Coniam.
The Crown Battery heat fell to Stinson, the B&B Products heat went
to Rob Chaney and the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won by
Mayes. Kemenah captured the Haulmark Dash and Randy Hannagan was
the Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier.

Kemenah Beats Keegan on Last Lap
Haulmark All Star Sprint
Results – Attica Raceway Park - Fri. 4/16/04 By Scott Hall
ATTICA, OH – Chad Kemenah
used lapped traffic to reel in Mark Keegan Friday night at
Attica Raceway Park in the Haulmark All Star sprint car Coors
Light Spring Nationals 30 lap feature. After Keegan led the
first 28 circuits in his own No. X, Kemenah dove low under the
lapped car of Jeremy Campbell with Keegan moving to the high
groove, and that move was Kemenah’s winning one. It was
Kemenah’s second consecutive win for the 2004 season in the Jim
Harble No. 15K Eagle Chassis wrenched by his brother Brian.
“It was a really good race,
and I just ended up winning,” Kemenah understated from victory
lane.
Keegan and Campbell brought
the field down to the green flag with Keegan grabbing the
initial lead over Paul May, who started fourth. Following a lap
two restart for a Lee Jacobs and Tim Hunter spin, Keegan easily
motored away from May with Campbell third and Kemenah fourth.
Kemenah began applying pressure to Campbell and after three laps
of dicing back and fourth, Kemenah secured third. Meanwhile,
Danny Smith and Randy Hannigan were battling for sixth. Keegan
recovered from a slide off the top lip of the racetrack on lap
eight in time to keep his lead, which began shrinking to May and
a fast moving Kemenah.
A lap nine caution was a
lucky break for Keegan, allowing him to get free of lapped
traffic. For the restart Keegan led May, Kemenah and Byron Reed.
As Keegan pulled away from the rest of the pack, Reed began
pressuring Kemenah for third. Reed dove low to try and get under
Kemenah, but the defending All Star champion repelled his
advances. Two laps later Kemenah passed May for second, and Reed
followed him past the Terre Haute, Indiana driver.
By lap 13 the running order
was Keegan, Kemenah, Reed, May, Greg Wilson, Campbell, Danny
Smith, David Harrison, Bill Rose and Dale Blaney, who started
13th. As Keegan moved out to a half straightaway lead, Rose was
battling with Harrison for eighth, but Blaney blew past both of
them as his machine was one of the fastest on the track.
With a John Ivy lap 17 flip
bringing out a red flag, the running order was Keegan, Kemenah,
Reed, Wilson, May, Smith and Blaney when the green reappeared
again. Keegan, in the high groove, pushed his lead to another
half straightaway advantage with a great restart, and Blaney
began picking off cars, moving to sixth by lap 20.
Todd Kane, who started 21st,
now was in the top ten as Keegan approached lapped traffic. With
five circuits remaining, Kemenah was closing quickly on Keegan’s
machine. With three laps to go, Kemenah drove high into Keegan’s
groove as the leader dove low to get by lapped traffic. As the
lapped machine of Campbell loomed ahead, Kemenah remained in the
high groove with Keegan committed to the bottom, and Kemenah’s
momentum in the upper groove propelled him into victory lane.
Keegan held on for a close
second over Reed, with Wilson fourth and Blaney fifth. Smith,
after starting ninth, was sixth, ahead of Jac Haudenschild, who
charged hard in the latter stages of the race after starting
22nd. Kane ended eighth with 19th starting Kyle Sauder ninth and
Hannigan tenth.
The Crown Battery heat fell
to Tim Hunter, the B&B Products heat went to John Ivy, the
Engler Machine and Tool heat was won by Jody Keegan and the TP
Wings heat fell to Mike Linder. The University of Northwestern
Ohio B Main fell to Lee Jacobs and Kemenah was the Huggins Cams

Kemenah Wins All-Stars Event at
Farmington, MO
Haulmark All Star Sprint Results - St.
Francois Co. Raceway - Sat. 4/3/04 By Scott Hall
FARMINGTON, MO - Defending All Star champion Chad Kemenah
led 40 caution-filled laps wire-to-wire to defeat Dale Blaney
Saturday night at St. Francois Co. Raceway and win the Haulmark
All Star sprint car feature. The win by Kemenah evened the score
with the local drivers at SFCR as local hot shoe Tim Montgomery
won here last year. Kemenah's Jim Harble-owned Eagle Chassis is
powered by a Kistler engine and sponsorship help comes from John
Bores, Underground Utilities and Kear's Speed Shop.
"We wanted to redeem ourselves after last year," Kemenah
related from victory lane. "The race track is a real different
shape here and it caught
us all off kilter last year. We just wanted to get into the lead
tonight and hoped the track would take rubber and it did and it
just worked out for us."
Kemenah and Jeremy Campbell brought the field down to the green
flag, with Campbell taking the initial lead, but a Rod Crabtree
spin nixed the
start. For the second start, Kemenah led but quick timer Kelly
Kinser spun and was hit by Tim Montgomery and Brock Mayes, sending
Kinser and Mayes to the tail for the restart. The third time was
the charm for Kemenah as he led over Campbell, but another caution
flew with one lap in the books for a Joey Montgomery spin. Kemenah
remained on top when the green appeared again as fifth starter
Dale Blaney was on the move, despite a smoking engine. Blaney
passed Terry McCarl for third then breezed by Campbell for second
once the leaders got into lapped traffic. As the top three ran
nose to tail, McCarl held fourth with Ricky Logan and Paul May
battling for fifth. Kemenah expertly worked lapped traffic,
keeping Blaney, whose car finally stopped smoking, at bay.
By lap 27 Logan began pressuring McCarl as May waited for an
opening to pass the duo. Campbell made a mistake a couple of laps
later, getting
sideways in turn two and dipping into the infield, coming back out
on the track in seventh instead of third. Then Campbell and May
made contact while battling for sixth on lap 34, bringing out
another caution. Kemenah pulled away from Blaney on this restart
and again following the final restart two circuits later. McCarl
took one shot at passing Blaney on the final restart, but Blaney
held him off as Kemenah pulled away to a four car length win over
Blaney's Andrews Motorsports No. 72. McCarl held on for third with
Logan fourth and 12th starting Jerrod Hull fifth. Next were Danny
Smith, Greg
Wilson, Tim Montgomery who ran with a flipped up nose wing, Kinser,
back from the tail and Phil Gressman on a very cold and windy
night.
The B&B Products heat went to Alex Shanks, the Engler Machine
and Tool heat was won by Terry Babb and the TP Wings heat fell to
Jesse Gianetto. The University of Northwestern Ohio B Main winner
was Paul May. Crown Battery heat race winner Campbell captured the
Haulmark Dash for the second night in a row and Kinser was the
Huggins Cams Fast Time qualifier.

Smith Wins All Star Opener At
Paducah
Haulmark All Star Sprint Results –
Paducah Intl Raceway - Fri. 4/2/04 By Scott
Hall
PADUCAH, KY – Danny Smith out dueled Kelly Kinser, then held
off first Dale Blaney and later Greg Wilson Friday night to
win Paducah International Raceway’s season opener for the
Haulmark All Star sprint car series’ silver anniversary
season. The 30 lap feature paid Smith $5,000 for his 25th
career All Star win, the first All Star race on the 3/8 mile
high banked oval since a 1981 Lee Osborne win.
“I
lost my good friend and great mechanic Jim Bennett, and to
come back the first night out with the son turning the
wrenches tonight it was pretty special,” an emotional Smith
said in tribute to his late mechanic who suffered a heart
attack two weeks ago. “The track was smooth, but it wasn’t a
runaway. Once Kelly got by me I changed my line a little bit
and got her through to the front. When you start on the front
row you don’t have much strategy, just run as hard as you
can.” Smith also credited new engine sponsor Doug Williams
Trucking and thanked Alan Kiger of Pence Olds-GMC for his
support of his self owned Maxim.
With Smith starting from the pole, Kinser was outside row one
with Wilson and Jeremy Campbell in row two, followed by Blaney
and Terry McCarl. Smith led the first two circuits before
Kinser got by for the lead with a pass in turn two. Then
Kinser led the third lap before a caution for Brock Mayes’
machine which was stopped on the backstretch. Kinser led for
the restart, but by lap six Smith once again was able to get
by his fellow Hoosier state driver to regain the lead.
At
lap 13, following another caution, the restart lineup was
Smith, Kinser, Wilson, Blaney, McCarl and Kemenah, up from
10th starting spot. Kinser tried to dive under Smith when the
green reappeared, but to no avail. Blaney now applied pressure
to Kinser and took second on lap 17 as Smith pushed his lead
to half a straightaway. Blaney began to reel in Smith in
lapped traffic and on lap 22 Smith was in the low groove with
Blaney trying a high side pass, but lapped traffic thwarted
Blaney’s charge. Ryan Coniam and Phil Gressman made contact on
lap 23, bringing out a caution. While awaiting the restart
lineup, Blaney’s right rear tire began losing air, forcing him
pitside for a new tire, ending a great charge. This moved
Wilson into second ahead of Kinser with Campbell fourth and
McCarl fifth.
As
Smith moved away from the pack when the green was displayed,
action was fast and furious for second through fourth with
Kinser diving low to try and move around Wilson as McCarl
challenged Campbell. McCarl got past both Campbell and Kinser
in one fell swoop to come home third after running out of time
to catch Wilson. At the stripe it was Smith over Wilson,
McCarl, who admitted he misread the track and stayed on the
bottom too long, Kinser and Campbell. Defending All Star champ
Kemenah was sixth ahead of eighth starter Jerrod Hull, Bill
Rose, Tim Montgomery and Ricky Logan.
The
Crown Battery heat fell to Wilson, the B&B Products heat went
to Kemenah, the Engler Machine and Tool heat was won by Ryan
